Yard Waste Collection

The Cudahy DPW will be collecting Christmas trees placed by the curb for a two-week period beginning Monday January 7^th, 2013 thru January 18th, 2013. Please make sure the tree is visible to our crews by digging it out of snow banks. Also remove lights, tinsel and other items from the tree. Holiday trees may be dropped off at the City's Drop Off Center when it's open to the public.

Winter Hours (October 1 - March 31):
Tuesday and Thursday -- 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday -- 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Summer Hours (Effective April 1, 2011 - September 30)
Tuesday and Thursday -- 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday -- 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Garbage, recycling and yard waste will be accepted at all times.

Yard Waste and Grass Clippings

Disposal of grass clippings or other yard waste in the garbage is illegal.  We strongly encourage you to leave the clippings on your lawn, use a mulching lawn mower or place clippings around your garden plants to help retain moisture.  Residents may bring garden waste and grass clippings to the drop-off site during regular hours.  THERE IS NO FREE PICKUP FOR YARD WASTE OR GRASS CLIPPINGS.  Residents can arrange for a special pick-up by calling the Department of Public Works at (414) 769-2216. The City will provide free pick-up of yard waste during the Spring Clean-Up and Fall Yard Waste Pick-Up (the first week of November).

Brush and Branches

Residents may bring brush and branches to the drop off site during regular hours or arrange for a special pick-up by calling the Department of Public Works at (414) 769-2216.  Please place branches at the curb only and parallel to the street.  There is no free pick-up for brush or branches.  Branches and brush - $50 minimum + $3.25 for every minute beyond 15 minutes (prepayment at City Hall is required). The City will provide free pick-up of brush and branches during the Spring Clean-Up.
