About Cudahy

Cudahy is named after its founder, Patrick Cudahy, who bought 700 acres of land in the 1890s and built the Cudahy Brothers meat packing plant with his brother John in 1892. Today, the city is served by a mayor, five alderpersons and other elected and appointed officials who strive to maintain Cudahy's small community charm with the superior services and amenities of a large urban area.

Cudahy is home to more than 18,000 residents and nearly 8,000 households.
