City Celebrations

The City Celebrations have brightened the faces of many so far this summer.  The Chase movie night was cold then damp and then windy but everyone braved the elements. The 4TH of July hosted a new parade route on a georgous day and the evening ended with a great display of fireworks enjoyed by all.  This year's South Shore Cyclery Classic bike race touted a new look with the race on S. Lake Drive thru Sheridan Park.  Look for more information to come on Cudahy Fall Harvest and Hometown Holiday.  Enjoy the rest of your summer and see you in the Fall.

Want to join the Celebrations Committee?  Fill out this volunteer form and bring it back to City Hall.  For more information about volunteer opportunities, send us an e-mail or call City Hall at 769-2200.

    FAMILY MOVIE NIGHTS

Families packed up their blankets and chairs and enjoyed another month of movies sponsored by Chase Bank at Cudahy Park 3000 E Ramsey Ave. See you next year for another free family movie night sponsored by Chase Bank.

  "Our History  Our Future"

The new parade route was enjoyed by all.  Give us your opinion on facebook.  The fireworks were fantastic and a great thank you goes to Dean Billo and his crew for the excellent light show. A big thank you goes out to all our sponsors this year.  The list continues to grow.  Our major sponsors this year were Patrick Cudahy, Cudahy Lion's Club, Affordable Heating,  Tat's, South Woods of Cudahy, Lakeshore Family Medical Clinic, Skyline Catering, Schramka-Nero Funeral Homes, and Peoples Credit Union.  Thank you to Southshore Credit Union and McDonald's of Cudahy for sponsoring the kids programs again this year.   Hope to see everyone next year.

CLASSIC LOGO SOUTH SHORE CYCLERY CLASSIC

2011 South Shore Cyclery Bike Race hosted a beautiful day and excitement for all that attended.  The picturesque bike route along Lake Drive and through Sheridan Park highlited the day for the racers and spectators.  Bike racers from many different countries returned to Cudahy this year with Team Mexico joining the South Shore Cyclery Classic Bike Race as a new international entrant.

  CUDAHY FALL FESTIVAL

The Cudahy Fall Harvest was held on October 8, 2011 at General Mitchell Elementary Grade School.  Everyone enjoyed a beautiful Autumn Day with games, crafts, music, and plenty of snacks.

  HOMETOWN HOLIDAY

Cudahy's Hometown Holiday started with a showing of the oldtime favorite movie "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas."  Santa and Rudolph arrived after the movie, escorted by the Cudahy Fire Department.  Santa entertained the group with several of his favorite songs and talked with all the young children who attended the program.  The tree lighting ceremony followed Santa with the Cudahy Senior High School Choir singing several Christmas carols.  Thank you to the Cudahy Chamber of Commerce, The Cudahy Lions Club, The Friends of the Cudahy Family Library and the Cudahy Celebrations Committee for their donations toward making the Cudahy Hometown Holiday a success.  Project Concern benefited from the many food contributions brought by the families that attended the program.
